The installation Sensitive flows and glows consists of a projection screen and a fountain of light. Phosphorescent fluids circulate through channels cut into the screen’s surface, bringing to mind a synthetic living organism. This ensemble of elements reacts to various sources of light, creating an immersive experience which is constantly evolving, evoking the complexity of living things and our aspirations to reproduce them using advanced technology

Alan Bogana is a visual artist whose artistic practice focuses on the real or speculative behaviour of light, its interactions with matter, and the emergence of organic forms and patterns through technological processes. His work explores the realities and constructed natural worlds that techno-scientific cultures present to our senses.
