Un oiseau de passage

Ornithological light installation

Un oiseau de passage

Un oiseau de passage is a monumental sculpture, a giant fairy bird that appears in the night, leaving several stories in its wake. The story of a bird made up of songs, cries, wingbeats, and whispers. The story of a bird who travels with the elements. The story of a bird whose migratory journey is altered by human presence. The story of a bird that takes the form of a fairytale, all the better to remind us of reality.

Presented in co-production with the Bright Brussels festival.

Luminariste – Benjamin Nesme & Marc Sicard
France (Lyon)

Benjamin Nesme, lighting designer and stained-glass artist, founded Luminariste with the aim of bringing together the various fields where light is used: entertainment, architecture, artisanship, and digital technology. It was when he met Marc Sicard, illustrator and designer, that his desire to tell tailor-made stories for public spaces began to take shape. With an approach similar to the applied arts, and a desire to place art at the service of the city and its inhabitants, Luminariste draws its inspiration from places and events, unfolding a series of teeming, phantasmagorical, elegant tales.
