Slowdown

Photographic installation
Slowdown

In a pressurised world, where the idea of technological solutions is becoming a pipe dream and people are taking refuge in consumerism, Slowdown raises questions about the transitions which are needed in the face of the effects of climate change. As the glaciers melt ever faster, new spaces are created – spaces whose margins are the birthplace for forms of individual and collective resistance. The interconnectedness and interdependence of all living things means we need to adapt our relationships and behaviour to ensure life can survive on our planet.

Presented in partnership with SNCF Gares & Connexions, the Swiss Cultural Centre. On tour and in the Octave Cowbell Gallery.
